Inspired by our murder mystery/crime week? Why not have a go at writing one of your own? In England, the number for the police emergency is 999 so you have just 999 words excluding the title to create a carefully planned murder that grips us from start to finish. All we ask is that there is a murder and that you use the photo for inspiration so you must include a gun and a briefcase.
Submissions should be pasted into the body of the email. Please add the title of the competition to the subject line.
Submissions must be original and previously unpublished and written in English.
We welcome submissions from writers worldwide.
Multiple submissions are welcome providing the correct entry fee is paid.
Your story can be written in the style of a traditional murder mystery or have a hardened crime element. It is up to you. Just impress us with your mastery of the written word.
