For this writing competition, you have only 700 words to capture the energy and atmosphere of the storm. We want to visualise the dark clouds rolling in and the grey skies. We want to feel the gathering breeze and hear the clap of thunder as if we were there. We don’t want to just hear about thunder and lightning however, you do need to create a strong story and weave the storm into the plot, making it significant. With only 700 words, you must start your story at just the right point so to create a compelling plot.
Note: You do not need to use the photo.

Submissions must adhere to the word count. 700 words maximum including the title – which must be Temptation
Submissions must be in English
Submissions are welcome from writers worldwide but writers must be aged 18 and over to win a cash prize
