Dear Santa,

As a woman in her fifties and who has struggled hard to make ends meet and scrimp and scrape to give my children and grandchildren presents so they are not disappointed each year, just this once, could I have something that will help to change my life and other like-minded souls?

Please Santa, help me to win the lottery! Not a small ask I know but maybe it’s my time to have some good fortune.

Here is what I would do with my millions :

Open up a wildlife reserve and hospital ( will happily take in your retired reindeer too)

Give a thousand pounds to all those who have been nice to me for no special reason just as a thank you for being kind.

Set up a centre to help rowdy and out-of-control children to stop them turning into rebellious thugs. The centre would be run by kind individuals who love children and who could really teach them values in life. Those ungrateful children who don’t like their presents could also come here Santa (just to make your life easier)

Buy a publishing company and reduce that horrible slush pile and get some unknown writers to finally fulfil their dreams

Then, if at all possible, could you send all my family over to the Bahamas for a wonderful stress free holiday but…. finally Santa, if there is any money left over…….

Could I have a hammock for my backgarden so I can enjoy my complete and uninterrupted peace and quiet?

Yours hopefully

Pattie.
