Have you ever experienced a moment of nostalgia? A longing for the good ol’ days? Perhaps you’ve seen an old friend, one from yesteryear? Or, you’ve spotted an item in an antique shop which has brought your memories flooding back? Engage these feelings of times gone by and write a story in a maximum of 800 words. Make us smile or cry, we don’t mind. Just let us feel your story come to life.
Rules:
You must be aged 18 or over
Open to writers worldwide
Maximum word count is 800 including the title
You may enter multiple submissions providing the correct fees are paid
You must enter on or before the closing date
Submissions must be written in English and be previously unpublished
We welcome imaginative interpretations of the theme
Submissions must be added to the body of the email (unless otherwise specified) and sent to: [email protected]

If you are a Write, Learn and Publish member, you are entitled to enter for free, please mark the subject line with your membership number.
Payment must be made via PayPal. Please add the PayPal transaction reference number (given once payment is made) to your email. Alternatively, please include the PayPal email associated with the payment as this helps us to speed up the process.
Please note that we only publish the overall winning submission as this enables all other submissions to be submitted elsewhere. Copyright remains with the author.
We allow 12 weeks from the competition closing date to award, announce and publish the winning entry.
