Feeling a little creative? Why not enter our No Way Out writing competition? With four fantastic prizes, you have a great chance of winning. All you need is a little creativity. 

Take a look at the photo above and craft a story around the character in just 700 words or less. The theme is No Way Out and your story must star the character in some way. To start you off – consider what he is thinking or feeling and what sort of situation he is in? Be as creative as you like but with a limited word count, you must have a very definite idea of your plot. Follow the rules carefully and you could be one of our proud winners. 

Rules:

You must be aged 18 or over

Open to writers worldwide

Maximum word count is 700 including the title

Submissions must be original and previously unpublished

You may enter multiple submissions providing the correct fees are paid

You must enter on or before the closing date

Submissions must be written in English

We welcome imaginative interpretations of the theme

Submissions must be added to the body of the email (unless otherwise specified) and sent to: [email protected]

Please mark the email subject line with the name of the competition i.e. No Way Out March 2016

If you are a Write, Learn and Publish member, you are entitled to enter for free, please mark the subject line with your membership number.

Payment must be made via PayPal. Please add the PayPal transaction reference number (given once payment is made) to your email. Alternatively, please include the PayPal email associated with the payment as this helps us to speed up the process.

 




 

Please note that we only publish the overall winning submission as this enables all other submissions to be submitted elsewhere. Copyright remains with the author.

We allow 12 weeks from the competition closing date to award, announce and publish the winning entry.
