If you  love poetry you are going to enjoy this new competition. Dig out your favoured unpublished poems,  dust them off and give them a new lease of life or, craft a beautiful  new poem to capture our attention. You could win a fantastic £200 if you win the top prize in this new open poetry competition.

We are open in terms of style and you can write about any subject so be creative, just ensure your poem is written with integrity. You have up to 40 lines, so send us your favourite poems and you could be a prize-winner.

All you need to do is to check out the rules below and  then send your submissions to;

[email protected] and mark the name of the competition in the subject line.

Please copy and paste your poem into the body of the email. Do not send as an attachment.

This competition is open to writers worldwide.

Poems must be previously  unpublished.

Multiple submissions may be sent providing the correct entry fees are provided.

Write, Learn and Publish members should send their poems directly to the above email address and also add their membership number to the subject line.

Please note: From 2015, our writing competitions are judged, awarded and announced within 11 weeks from the closing date. We only ever publish the overall winning submission on this website to allow writers to submit their entry elsewhere. The Creative Competitor does reserve the right to publish the winning entry on this site, newsletter and in any anthology.

Writers who receive runners-up prizes may be contacted by the Creative Competitor team to request permission to have their submission included in an anthology – but we do not reserve the right to publish without permission. Where permission is granted, an additional payment will be offered.

Entry into this competition implies acceptance to these rules.
