 Do you love writing historical fiction or are simply fascinated by the past? Then try weaving a compelling story that effortlessly includes elements from days gone by but, has strong characters that interact effortlessly. You must use the above photo but we welcome imaginative interpretations of the theme. To be in with a chance of winning, make sure you have a strong opening and you hold our attention throughout. 

Your story must be unique and previously unpublished. You have a maximum of 1200 words including the title so make sure that every word counts.

 Remember that your story 

Rules:

You must be aged 18 or over

Open to writers worldwide

 Maximum word count is 1200 including the title

Submissions must be original and previously unpublished

You must include reference to the above photo

You may enter multiple submissions providing the correct fees are paid

You must enter on or before the closing date

Submissions must be written in English

We welcome imaginative interpretations of the theme

Submissions must be pasted into the body of the email (unless otherwise specified) and sent to: [email protected] or [email protected]
