1st Prize: £100 Laura King
He liked to surprise her but was it more than that? Hadn’t her Mom told her that there was an undercurrent to him, a sneaky soft-center filled with some dubious aspect of self? Yet, here he was giving her the chance for a new start. They would move. New house, new country, new opportunities and he would be there, by her side. He’d never leave her. It was amazing but, she’d have to leave everything behind including her family. Could she do it? She wanted him desperately but then why, did she feel a sliver of fear rippling through her?
