The War on Dark Love
by Gillian Stone
You won the war oh darling, your crime
a broken heart – mine.
You sent my pulses racing, with your
forked tongue lies.
You tantalize my dreams, yes now,
with your acts of betrayal.
You invade my senses with your
touch, slicing a fatal wound.
With a blackened soul you endeavor,
to break, control and taint.
All you touch turns to dust, yes flesh and blood
too, bar me, I rise, a phoenix from the flames of your adultery.
