Acrostic Poetry Competition Winner

We gave you the creative challenge of entering our acrostic poetry competition with a chance to win our top prize of £100. We had a great response with some wonderful examples of acrostic poetry, but here are the details of those who won some great cash prizes. In acrostic poetry, each letter of the title is used in order as the first letter of each sentence and this means that the title is also written vertically down the side from top to bottom

Congratulations to:

1st Prize: £100.00 – Christine West

2nd Prize: £75.00 – Terence Lomas

3rd Prize: £50.00 -G. Downs

Emotion

by Christine West

Endless nights of love diminished in a

Mindless, senseless loss, his death

Over time, it numbed me, broke me

Transported me to a darkness that

I never knew existed. Love sent burning hot embers

On top of me, scalding me, searing me

Never will I escape from this emotion called pain.
