For this flash fiction writing competition, you have up to 300 words to draw us into your story. Be as creative as you like but carve an ingenious plot that has us hooked from the very first word. As always, we are open to creative interpretation. Take a look at the photo for inspiration and use these characters within the plot. With only 300 words, you must start your story at just the right point so to create a compelling plot.

Submissions must be original and previously unpublished
Submissions must adhere to the word count. 300 words maximum including the title.
Submissions must be in English
Submissions are welcome from writers worldwide but writers must be aged 18 and over to win a cash prize
Stories must be pasted into the body of the email. Please do not send attachments.
